Since 1872, The Methodist Home has prospered through the love and generosity of others. With over 140 children in residential care and many others in HOPE Foster Care and our visitation programs, we appreciate those who help us meet our needs!
We will gladly accept donations of clothing, school supplies and toiletries to fulfill the needs of our children.
When selecting sizes for clothes, please remember the children we serve are ages 8 to 18(+), so we are in need of a large variety of clothing. We serve children from first grade through college age. We typically need clothing, including new socks and underwear, larger than size 6.
Specific clothing needs include:
- Socks, especially dark dress socks for boys and white no-show socks for boys and girls
- Boys clothes (ages 10 to 16)
- Boxers (boys and men’s sizes)
We are always in need of these toiletry items: deodorant, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, African American hair care products, mousse and styling gel, non-aerosol hair spray and lotion.
Other supplies needed include pillows, twin size sheets, towels and washcloths.
We gladly accept donations for our Tags of Hope Thrift Shoppe. Items include home décor, furniture, clothing, holiday decorations, and much more. All proceeds from Tags of Hope directly benefit our boys and girls at The Methodist Home. We can also pick up donations. Call Tags of Hope at (478) 254-2489 for more information.
CHRISTMAS WISH LISTS
Christmas “wish lists” are available for each child, usually the first of November. This is a practical way you can help us provide a great Christmas experience for our children.
