Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training
The Methodist Home, in collaboration with The Community Foundation of Central Georgia, provided a workshop to train our clinicians and community clinicians in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
TF-CBT is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents who have been impacted by trauma, as well as their parents or caregivers. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences. Many of the clinicians are participating in the TF-CBT National Therapist Certification Program. We are proud to say each of our clinicians are certified in the TF-CBT treatment model.
Our community counseling services will soon expand to Harris County where we will be able to provide all the above-mentioned services.
