Thanks to the Fostering Success Tax Credit, also known as the Qualified Foster Child Donation Credit (QFCDC) your tax dollars can now bring new hope for older youth in foster care.
As a taxpayer of the state of Georgia, you can redirect your taxes to The Methodist Home to help youth transitioning out of the foster care system. When you participate, you receive a 100% tax credit for your state income tax bill for your donation.
I want The Methodist Home to apply for the tax credit on my behalf.
Georgia taxpayers must be pre-approved by the state to take advantage of the Foster Child Organization Credit. By completing this application, you authorize the Methodist Home to submit an online request on the Georgia Tax Center website on your behalf. The state processes requests in the order that they are received. You will receive a letter from the Georgia Department of Revenue with the results of your request.
The contribution limits below are in effect from January 1 – June 30.
Effective July 1, limits are no longer in effect if the $20 million funding goal has not been met.
- Single Individual or Head of Household: Up to $2,500 per year
