AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS from Dr. McAleer

Hello,
My name is Derek McAleer. Welcome to the Development Department. We have an incredible team of people who can assist you with your gift of love and support. There are several ways you can make a donation to The Methodist Children’s Home:

1. You can either mail us a check or use your credit card-online (click here)! (You should use Internet Explorer as your browser to do this. Other web browsers may have difficulties seeing all the options).
   
   
2. You can gift to us highly appreciated stock through your Stock Broker. You may find you avoid high capital gains taxes through this type giving.
   
   
3. You can give a piece of property, car, or other item as an in-kind gift.
   
   
4. Many people bring us their yard sale items. We place these items in our monthly yard sale and the proceeds go to the Children's wants!!!
   
   
5. You can create a charitable remainder trust that will create income for your lifetime and the principle will go to The Methodist Children’s Home.
   
   
6. You can include us in your will. We invite you to name “The Foundation Of The Methodist Home of the South Georgia Conference, Inc.” as a charitable beneficiary.
   
   
7. Many people have paid up life insurance policies which are no longer needed for the initial beneficiary. You can list us as a beneficiary to a life insurance policy. We invite you to name “The Foundation Of The Methodist Home of the South Georgia Conference, Inc.” as a charitable beneficiary.
   
   
8. Most importantly, you can keep our children in your thoughts and Prayers!
   

The Methodist Children’s Home has always had a Methodist Minister as the "Agent for The Home." The Agent's responsibility is to raise the charitable dollars from the local churches, individuals, and businesses to help provide a loving Christian environment for the children who are in our care.

I am proud to say that for over 135 years, The Methodist Children’s Home has been providing care for over 10,000 children, youth, and families within the South Georgia Conference. Please take great pride in knowing that your Home reaches out to the shadows of our local churches and provides excellent care for children who are hurting and needing a place to experience healing and wholeness.
