
Dr. Steve L. Rumford, President/CEO - With over 35 years experience in human services, Steve Rumford (A.C.S.W./L.C.S.W) has been the CEO of The Methodist Children’s Home since 1984. He has served as chair of both Kentucky and Georgia Associations for Homes and Services (twice) for Children and Families and currently is the chairperson of the United Methodist Association’s Health and Welfare Association. With an extensive accreditation background he has chaired Council on Accreditation reviews across the nation and served as chairperson of the EAGLE Accreditation Commission of the United Methodist Association. Steve has been a presenter at conferences across the nation and in the United Kingdom as well as serving on numerous task forces and work groups on a state and national level. His special interests are in the areas of collaboration, strategic planning and visioning, program development and workforce enhancement. He was the first American to achieve the Scottish Level 5 Strategic Management Award and has received numerous state and national awards. He was awarded an honorary doctorate in Christian Ministry from Asbury College in 2006.
