The Methodist Home’s Valdosta campus serves girls ages 13 to 18 years old. We accept referrals from DFCS, DJJ, MAAC and parental custody under special circumstances. Youth characteristics include, but are not limited to: traumatized youth with mild/moderate behavioral and emotional issues, oppositional behaviors, and physical and sexual abuse history.
- The Valdosta Campus provides Residential Care Maximum Watchful Oversight/Additional Watchful Oversight services for girls (13 to 18 years old).
- Emergency placement services are offered to DFCS counties in a fifty-mile radius of Valdosta.
- Higher Education – Educational support is available for youth attending college, vocational school, and/or military.
Mrs. Corinne Simmons
Regional Director (St. Marys & Valdosta)
Corinne Simmons serves as the Regional Director in Valdosta and St. Marys. Corinne has worked at The Methodist Home for since 1999. She is a native of Mississippi and earned a Bachelor of Science at Tougaloo College in 1990. She obtained a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University in 1993. She completed a Master of Science in Counseling and Educational Leadership at Columbus State University in 2005. Corinne is a Licensed Professional Counselor. As Regional Director, Corinne oversees our Valdosta and St. Marys campuses and handles community relations for both.
