The Methodist Home’s Americus campus serves girls ages 13 to 18 years old. We accept referrals from DFCS, DJJ, MAAC and parental custody under special circumstances. Youth characteristics include, but are not limited to: mild/moderate behavioral and emotional issues, oppositional behaviors, reactive attachment issues and sexual abuse history.
- The Americus Campus provides Residential Care Maximum Watchful Oversight/Additional Watchful Oversight services for girls (13 to 18 years old).
- Emergency placement services are offered to DFCS counties in a fifty-mile radius of Americus.
- Higher Education – Educational support is available for youth attending college, vocational school, and/or military.
Mrs. Leigh Poole
Regional Director (Americus)
Leigh grew up in Americus and graduated from Georgia Southwestern University in 1990. She obtained her Master of Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2012. Leigh began working at The Methodist Home as Regional Director in 2017. She prays God works through her to influence and assist the girls to move forward with a successful future. Leigh oversees operations and handles community relations for our Americus campus.
