(Nomads On Mission of Active Divine Service)

Nomads-03One of the great supporters of our ministry to children and families are our NOMADS. NOMADS are mostly retired folk who travel in RV’s and meet as a team at a work site, usually staying for a couple of weeks. NOMADS visit our Macon campus a couple of times a year, and have done everything from painting to repairing drywall to fixing bikes to replacing windows to sewing drapes to building a child’s bean-bag toss game (including sewing up some beanbags!) Our relationship with the NOMADS has been a great blessing!

Some NOMADS travel for months at a time; others make occasional jaunts to a particular project. Some have wonderful construction skills; others are just able to do a little handyman work around the house. Would you be interested in this type of service? You can learn more about the NOMADS at their website,

NOMADS Mission Statement:

  • Rebuilding lives, homes, and facilities with God’s love and our hands.
  • And in the same way, faith by itself, if not accompanied by action, is dead.  (James 2:17)

NOMADS are people who:
- are looking for retirement with a purpose
- enjoy traveling in an RV
- want to share their Christian faith
- enjoy using their skills in service to others
