The Methodist Home is one of few private, non-profit agencies in the state of Georgia certified to provide Intermediate Treatment services for children and youth who have been so traumatized through abuse and hardship that more concentrated treatment efforts are needed to help them become productive citizens.
Intermediate care is provided when DFCS or Mental Health through the approval of the MATCH Committee seek services for a child who requires therapeutically designed interventions to improve social, emotional, and educational adaptive behavior in a family setting.
Intermediate Care- Defintion
