Dr. Edwin Chase, Director, The Family Institute – Dr. Chase serves as Director of the Family Institute and as Senior Chaplain at The Methodist Children’s Home. Prior to coming to The Children's Home, Dr. Chase served as Director of the Clergy Resource Center which he founded in 1991 at the Pastoral Institute in Columbus. He was a columnist for the Wesleyan Christian Advocate for several years on issues related to marriage, family and personal life. Dr. Chase is a pastoral counselor who served for 14 years as a parish minister in Americus and Savannah. He was a Research Fellow at Emory University and served as an adjunct professor for the San Francisco Theological Seminary. For 14 years, Dr. Chase served as the Pastoral Counselor for the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church.
