Dr. Derek W. McAleer, Vice President for Development – Derek came to The Methodist Children’s Home staff after serving in local church pastorates across South Georgia for 26 years. As a former Board of Trustees member for The Methodist Children’s Home, Magnolia Manor, and The St. Marys UMC Foundation, Derek has a good understanding of the work of Methodism and charitable institutions across South Georgia. Derek has special interests in the areas of leadership development, fiscal accountability, and leadership accountability in the local church, and has led workshops on the local church, district, and conference level.
