The Methodist Home first entered Columbus in partnership with Columbus for Kids as we opened the Our House facility on Veteran’s Parkway in 2002. After several years, the opportunity to expand and enhance our services came when we merged with The Carpenter’s Way Ranch (founded by All Star first basemen Glenn Davis in 1991). We relocated our services to that campus, and renamed it Our House at Carpenter’s Way in recognition of the ministries of both organizations. Three cottages serve boys at this wooded campus: The Averett House, the Davis House, and the Smith-Coleman House.
