The Methodist Home for Children and Youth provides residential treatment services in a cottage setting at six locations in Georgia (Macon, Americus, Columbus, St. Marys, Valdosta, and Waverly Hall). Each cottage offers eight to ten children, boys and girls, ages 6-18, a broad spectrum of treatment services and interventions which address the unique needs of emotionally troubled youth in a community based setting.
- General Intake Criteria
Intermediate Treatment – 85 or above
- Types of Youth Served
Those from dependent or neglected backgrounds
Physical, emotional or sexual abuse victims.
Oppositional and defiant, verbal and/or physically aggressive youth.
Youth with learning disabilities, school problems or truancy issues
Youth who need shelter or protection due to economic, circumstantial or legal issues.

Youth who successfully complete the program of the main campus and group homes become eligible for extensive financial and educational support.
